We're TurnbullRipley. A creative branding, digital & design communications agency. We’ve been around since 1989 delivering brand clarity from market complexity. We help our clients identify, articulate and tell their stories, build their businesses and sell their products, in the most compelling ways that connect directly with their audiences.
We do this through strategic insight, creative application and good old-fashioned hard work, across all media platforms ensuring that the message and the medium are perfectly aligned to create effective, engaging and memorable dialogue.
Our team is made up of strategists, creatives, programmers and account handlers. All friendly, approachable and responsive people.
Our ideas deliver brand clarity from market complexity, giving our clients what they want but not necessarily in the way they imagined. On brief. On brand. Beyond expectation.
Have you got what it takes to work for us? We are always on the lookout for talented individuals

Having started his career at AMV, MrT understands perfectly that size isn’t everything (and a good job too). Indeed, as our Managing Director he is determined that TurnbullRipley is big enough to deliver creatively, yet remains small enough to care personally for our clients. To that end he is responsible for all client relationships and business development but more importantly some would say, the regular provision of dark chocolate digestives to fuel the studio.
Dividing his working week between the office and his home in Bournemouth, Owain is the face of finance at TR, and a very tanned and healthy looking one it is too. He is responsible for both our business and personal wellbeing. Whilst his first priority is keeping the books balanced he ensures our diet is too by keeping the fruit bowl fully stocked.
Apples or pears?
You can't compare them
Ana hails from Portugal and joined TR after several years down in the dumps. Quite literally too, as having gained a degree in Environmental Engineering she worked for a while in waste management. Realising that this was rubbish (sorry!), she decided to change tack and retrained in graphic design, and we are delighted that she did, as she brings a unique design style to TR.
How do you say this?
'It can’t be done’ – Ever the mantra of the IT guru, and in that sense JP is no exception, except he is. With an unnerving ability to fix a technical problem without appearing to do anything, JP’s knowledge of software is second to none. His hardware knowledge is pretty impressive too and he is more than a dab hand at digital production to boot. He’s pretty handy on the DIY front too, so all in all a good guy to have on your team – no?
What's the problem?
Is it me?
Your business is Paula's business. As a former client, turned account manager; turned Head of Client Service, she really is the perfect person to ensure that TR's service to our clients is always up to her exacting standards. Exactly.
I'm on it
On what? And where can we get some?
What? Why? When? How? Four little words that are a big deal for our Creative Director, though not as much as the answers are. Treve (and yes, that’s his real name) is never happier, inwardly at least, than when he’s challenging the brief or the creative team. Never grumpier than when he’s watching his beloved ‘Superhoops’ lose again. Again.
I'm happy with that
Obviously with a surname like Martinez, Louise couldn’t be anything other than a Glaswegian from South London could she? But thankfully that’s as complicated as things get with our Lou, as she brings a very clear and simple approach to account management: listen, understand, deliver. Ken what I mean eh?
Anyone else gonna finish that?
No, go on Lou it's all yours.
Carrying more ink than your average printer, Keith is our very own gentle giant. Usually sporting a colour coordinated sneaker, t-shirt and watch combo, his design work is pretty sharp too, adding, as it does, another dimension to our creative offer. His thoughtful approach to his work speaks volumes for his ability, which goes a long way to making up for the fact that he rarely speaks.
What do you think of this?
Who said that?
Simona is from Napoli and has the looks and the accent to match. She is a true Italian: passionate, impatient and talented. She loves – Italian food, Italian coffee, Italian football, Italian art… you get the idea. Thankfully she quite likes us too, so we get to utilise her outstanding Italian design skills and enjoy ‘real’ mozzarella whenever her father is in town.
Can you brief me now?
Good morning Simona, did you have a nice weekend?
Sheer creative muscle, that’s our Tom. As happy weighing up a brief as he is working out with weights, there’s nothing weak about his design ability. In fact, pound for pound, his brand communication skills across media are a knockout.
I'm having a protein shake
We thought you were just cold
The best of both, that’s our Michelle and in more ways than one. Being half Australian and half Chinese she is outgoing, passionate and creative on the one hand, determined, organised and responsive on the other. So what does that mean for our clients? Quite simply, account management that’s out of this world – well at least from different parts of it.
Does anyone want anything from Planet Organic?
When it comes to the web everything is bread and butter to our web wizard, Starks. In fact, most things are literally bread and butter to him such is his love of the food of life. As for the jam in his metaphoric sandwich that is of course the development of websites, games, banners, apps and all things SEO.
Is this W3C compliant?
No, it's a tea. Milk no sugar
Lauren is half Scottish and half Argentinian, but one hell of a good designer. She is also the tiniest member of the team, but more than makes up for that with the size of her surname: Chornogubsky – no, we don’t know how to pronounce it correctly either. Working out of our Edinburgh studio, she is the latest addition to our all conquering team north of the border.
Did I tell you the story about…
Yes at least 10 times already.
